Join the next Professional Development Book Club and the Office of Institutional Diversity for a special discussion of Biased: Uncovering the Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See, Think, and Do by Jennifer L. Eberhardt, Ph.D. Eberhardt is a social psychologist at Stanford, a 2014 recipient of the MacArthur genius grant, and one of the worlds leading experts on implicit racial bias. In Biased, Eberhardt shares the enormous impact implicit bias has on criminal justice, education, housing, employment, and other arenas of our society. Her new book reveals the many surprising ways implicit bias affects the decisions we make, from the neighborhoods we chose to live in to the people we chose to hire, and so much more.

This book club discussion will count toward earning the Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion. Participants should read the book (or most of it) and bring a question for the group to discuss.
